I feel as though i have to give my 2 cents. on android. I bought a G1 near its release, And yes something things it did better then iphone, But honestly iphone OS 3.0 fixed most of that.
The iphone is ahead right now! in two years, or a year, i will decide and move on then. But i was tired of android sucking for so long, the first year was really lame, so i wanted something good now! not something with potential.
The gmail app i miss alot, but google sync with exchange is great. and honestly im happy now, i see myself switching back to android in the not so distant future, but right now i feel like it is still a teenager and an iphone can already go to bars. #iphone
For all you guys suffering from crappy battery life, I recommend you get a program called APNdroid, it kills your 3g and 2g connections saving you a ton of battery life. When you want to go online just click on it and everything is back to normal. I forgot what the barcode is but it is easy to find in the market. #iphone
The main holes I am seeing is the price. $550.00 for the Droid is my breaking point. I will be patient and wait until June when there is a discount due to my contract renewal. #iphone
I have to say, having to turn that plastic cube everywhere only adds to the frustration of spending hours trying to solve the original. A new electronic version should allow us to hack into it's global network and turn into a Borg Cube controlled by Pee Wee Herman who will no doubt use it to capture the attention of children in far-off galaxies.
On second thought, I want Pee Wee to remain an Earth-only phenomenon, so I will continue to endure the wrist pain and stick with the puzzle I have never solved without the help of Google. Technology be damned.
9 of these are horrid, terrible ideas, fueled by money crazed executives.
1 is so awesome, one wonders if it appears here only because it's awesomeness took hold of the writer's mind and forces him to add it to things it shouldn't be to just stand out even more.
Yes I'm talking about that incredible Vacuum tube chess set. It's awesome. Very awesome, and does not deserve to be on this list.
@RoboBagins: I was just going to say. That chess set is just neat and hardly a digital conversion. But, any reason to show it off is good enough for me.
I also was completely flabbergasted to see the rock, paper, scissors contraption. It actually offended my delicate nature.
I use my iPhone primarily as a phone and app device -- no music/video/podcasts for me. I like the sound of Android, and if I hadn't just jumped on the 3GS with a new two year contract, I might consider it a little harder. #iphone
i knew a guy that owned a Harley cause he liked constantly working on it. that is what i like about my Hero. now, i don't have to constantly work on it, but there is always something i can do. #iphone
"Your best bet is to avoid the native player that's sort of hidden and to actually use a third party app, Meridian. Or just get a Zune HD for your music and video, and you'll be much happier."
No, sorry. That's not going to cut it. One of the deciding factors in my decision to get an iphone was that I would no longer need to carry an ipod/PMP.
But.
I have absolute faith in google and the dev community, and have no doubts that a very respectable PMP app will be available in the near future. If the demand for droid is strong enough, this will be a minor road bump.
So, I'm still switching to droid. Bye apple. You were so charming at first. It seemed like the honeymoon would never end. Then I woke up. #iphone
I just switched from my 3GS to a HTC Hero. Even with my iPhone being jailbreaked, I love the Hero so much more.
I can use the REAL facebook website and it loads faster than the mobile one on AT&T. The internet is so fast on Sprint, the browser is better (in my honest opinion) and Android + Sense UI is amazing.
The iPhone is a great phone but the network, Apple's policies and the glacial summer releases with small changes hold it back. The Hero is the phone I've been waiting for.
Android is the future. Find the phone that you like best and make the switch, it's worth it. #iphone
